My name is Sarah. I'm a Himalayan rabbit breeder located in San Jose, California. I raise the black variety of Himalayans. I raise Himalayans because they are calm and loving. My himmies are purebred with pedigrees. They are $45.00 for show quality does and bucks, and $25.00 for pet quality does and bucks. Himalayans are a special breed because they are the only breed in the cylindrical type. The breed originated from the Himalayan Mountains. The body of a himalayan is white with markings on the nose, ears, front & back feet, and the tail. There are four varieties in the himalayan standard. They are Black, Blue, Chocolate, and Lilac. The first or "original" varieties are black followed by blue. Then, Ron Smelt, of California, developed the chocolate and lilac varieties we have today. Himalayans have a weight standard of 2.5 to 4.5 lbs. The ideal weight is 3.5 lbs. I am a member of the ARBA, 4-H, and the AHRA. You can reserve your own right now. |
